MINUTES of the Meeting held in the Council Chamber, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne on Thursday 19th November 2009 from 10:00 am to 10:05 am.

Present: Councillors John Morris (Chairman), Bobbin and Paul Sturdgess.

review of premises licence for kent mart, station street, sittingbourne under the licensing act 2003

The Senior Solicitor reported that the Police had met with the applicant's Agent, Licensing Solutions, to resolve their concerns in respect of the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 18. The Police were happy with the conditions suggested by Licensing Solutions which related to: the installation of CCTV; staff training; introduction of the Challenge 21 scheme and Swale Safe Scheme; and the keeping of a register of refusal book. On agreement, the Police have withdrawn the application for review.
